Last night’s Billboard Music Awards honoured the best of today’s artists and hit-makers, and while they received awards, we were treated to incredible live performances. With almost 20 artists across multiple genres lined up to perform, there was no shortage of talent or star power. Here were the five best performances from last night’s awards.

“Youth,” Troye Sivan

For the first time ever, Troye Sivan took the stage of a live awards show to perform his hit, “Youth,” off his album Blue Neighbourhood. Dubbed Kia’s One To Watch, this rising star didn’t disappoint, killing his performance that also included a dance remix at the end of the track.

“It Ain’t Me Babe,” Kesha

Following a turbulent year of legal issues with her ex-producer Dr. Luke, Kesha victoriously took the stage after previously having her performance cancelled. Accompanied by Ben Folds, she performed a slowed-down version of Bob Dylan’s 1964 hit, “It Ain’t Me Babe.”

“Work From Home,” Fifth Harmony (Featuring Ty Dolla $ign)

iHeartRadio MMVAs performers Fifth Harmony took the stage to perform their hit, “Work From Home.” The superstar girl group gave us major Squad Goals while they showed off their amazing vocal ability, also decked out in coordinated outfits.

Britney Spears’ Medley of Hits

Britney Spears proved herself worthy of the Millennium Award she received last night with this incredible performance of her hits throughout the years. Including songs like “Toxic” and “I’m A Slave 4U,” she opened the show with a stunning performance full of red fur and pole dancing.

“Love On the Brain,” Rihanna

Taking a break from her Billboard No. 1 club banger, “Work,” Rih slowed things down with a powerful performance of “Love On The Brain,” a track from her eighth studio album, Anti.
