Britney Spears fans have been waiting for a new album from the queen of pop and the time has finally arrived.
Spears’ upcoming ninth studio album had a few false starts, but when the singer released her new single “Make Me” in mid-July, it seemed like an album couldn’t be far behind. Yesterday, Spears made the official announcement that a new era and her new album, titled Glory, will drop August 26 (yes, like three weeks from now).

To kick off her promo tour for Glory, Spears’ first stop was Jimmy Kimmel Live!. The Las Vegas performer delivered a hilariously sexy wake up call for Kimmel in his home, complete with male back up dancers and a light show. Kimmel received a similar gift (we think ‘gift’ is more appropriate than ‘prank’, because who wouldn’t want to be woken up by pop stars?) last year when Rihanna demanded “Bitch Better Have My Money” at one in the morning.
Not stopping with album info or a late night viral video, Spears has now dropped the full version of her track “Private Show” and delivers on her ‘new era’ promises. The song was teased in July when Spears Instagrammed a short clip of her new fragrance ad for the scent Private Show.
Spears branched out in the studio, with “Private Show” being produced by Young Frye and co-written by Carla Marie, who penned Beyoncé and Naughty Boy’s dreamy collaboration “Runnin’ (Lose It All).”
The lap dance-loving, Motown-esque track is unlike anything Spears has released before and like “Make Me,” we’re definitely into the change-up. Glory get at us.
